Peru

We are going to be talking about Peru today. I’m mostly just picking out trainings that look interesting and doing them. And today I was just looking for something easy to do so I would be sure to get this done.. So let’s get started.

 

Peru has lots of history and culture, and is also starting to get into the luxury market. This country has a lot of archealogical appeal. This has been what it has been known for for decades. It is the home of the Inca Empire. But one of the oldest cities in the Americas have been found in Peru, and this city dates back to the time of the Pyramids in Egypt. This country also has the largest Adobe city in the world. Going to Peru would also enable you to visit the salt mines… You are also going to find a lot of birds and plant life that might interest you.

 

Years ago, Peru may have been best for the adventure types, the people who love to backpack and camp. But in the last five years especially, they have built a lot of really nice hotels there, which enables you to see these beautiful places and still have a luxurious vacation. They also have a lot of great new restaurants with equisite dining for you to choose from. There are also a lot of festivals in the region.

Israel

We are heading to my sister’s in Atlanta tomorrow evening after a little celebration my brother has at his school. I’m looking forward to this trip a lot, looking forward to hanging out with my and taking a from my routine for a little while. But I still have things to do, and this morning turned out to be pretty unproductive, so I’ve got to get some things done.

 

Today the training that caught my eye was about Israel. I am a Christian, have been since I was a little girl. Israel is the setting of the bible. Church groups love to go to Israel together, so let’s get started on this training.

 

Israel has a whole lot of culture. It is, of course, where most of the events of the bible took place. Most trips to this country will allow you to see at least some of the historical sites. Jerusalem, which is the historical capital, is a very diverse place, being the home of the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths. There are huge places of worship of each faith in this city that you may want to explore. But Israel has modern places as well.

 

But why travel as a group? Some people like to travel in groups, either with people they already know or as a way to get to know new people. Groups will also get good discounts on food and lodging, as well as the benefit of having a tour guide who will do all the planning for you.

 

I would love to go see Israel. What about you?

Cruising

I know I have things to do, but I’m really not sure where to go with the business right now. Or rather I have some ideas, but everything seems to take so much time. And with my disability, between not being able to decide when to do things and having to have help with everything, time feels hard to control. Maybe this mini vacation this weekend will help me figure out some things. I sure hope so.

 

Doing this every day can get difficult to come up with new ideas, especially when I’m kind of tired of working. Today I am going to listen to another training. This is going to be somewhat different in that this is a travel agent giving this training instead of someone who works for a supplier. This is a lady travel agent who went on a cruise with a group.

 

This travel agent chose the trip she and this group of hers would be going on, and she chose a cruise on a large ship. She decided on this because on a large ship you will have lots of choices of what to do to and off the ship. If you are ever in charge of planning a cruise for a group, [first, please book through me], and second know the group you are traveling with, get a feel for the things they like to do, decide beforehand whether you will take children, etc. Knowing this type of thing will ensure that everyone has a great time.

 

On larger ships, you will have restaurants where you can order meals just like you would at any restaurants, as well as your buffets. My fellow travel agent said that the restaurant food was pretty nice, though nothing was gourmet, and the buffets were adequate. But we travel agents like for everything to be perfect for each of our guests, so we tend to be more picky.

 

You may also want to know that these ships may have a good bit of room in the cabins for not a lot more money. That’s good to know because cabin can be pretty small.

 

I think I am going to go, do some other things.

Washington DC

We are going to my sister who lives in Atlanta late Thursday evening, so I’ve decided to go on and work today, and enjoy hanging out with my family on Friday. We are going to be celebrating a couple of family birthdays this weekend, and since one of my favorite things to do is chilling out with my family, I think that is going to give me a better break anyway. I have several things I would really like to do today, so I am going to go on and get started.

 

I know I have written about my desire to go to Washington DC in the not-too-distant future. I have some personal reasons for wanting to go there. But today, let’s look at some things there are to do in the DC area.. One thing I know of is the Smithsonian. The Smithsonian has more than twenty museums in its network, and all of them are absolutely free. That even includes the DC zoo, I just double checked that to make sure that is right, and it is. There are several history museums [which happen to be my favorite], different art museums I know.. Even before my aunt moved there, my grandparents lived a couple of hours away from DC, and we would go up there for a day trip some summers, so I am somewhat familiar with that area.

 

Our nation’s capital is pretty easy to walk, we’ve spent a day walking to the different monuments. Driving around in this city is not awful, though parking can be somewhat challenging, particularly if you have a large vehicle. If you want to get the least expensive rates, you will want to go in either late summer or winter.

 

I’m not sure why, but we’ve never toured the White House or the capitol. I think both would be interesting to see… And there are many theaters with plays going on if that would be something that interests you.

 

I am going to go on to some other things..

River cruising

I love my job but I’m glad it’s Friday. Not sure that I have any big plans this weekend, though I’m already excited about spending next weekend with my family. I am kind of just ready for some downtime. It’s kind of been one of those days where I’m tired of working and am not sure what to do with myself.

 

I’m having a really hard time coming up with an idea for this blog today. I have started this post a couple of times, only to scrap it later. I’ve decided to go back to something pretty sure I can do, listen to an online training and write about it. Today we are going to learn about river cruising. Some advantages of taking a river cruise are that you only have to unpack once. The ship does not take a lot of passengers, giving you a more intimate setting to enjoy. All the staterooms have an excellent view. Another advantage to river cruising is that there have been no reported cases of seasickness. And everything is including in the price.

 

you are more than welcome to do whatever you want on this cruise. They have different tours you can choose from at each port. You can choose what psce you want to go at. You are also free to there stay on the ship.

 

I think I am going to go. Right now, I’m just glad to have written anything. Have a great weekend.

Do we need summer vacations? Part #2

I did not get up early today. I’ve got to get some things done today, so I am going to take care of this first..

 

Let’s go back to question of why we should take a vacation in summer. Yesterday we looked more at why you need a vacation for work purposes, today let’s focus more on reasons why your family needs a vacation. Families is usually extremely busy. The kids have school and sports, and most parents are working full time, as well as other. Sometimes you can live in the same house and still hardly see each other. And even when you are in that place you call home, there are always things that need to be done around the house. Going away on vacation gives you time to reconnect to the people that are the most important to you.

 

Vacations also allow you to make some life long memories as a family. I know some of my favorite memories growing over are of family vacations. And I love to listen to Mom tell about trips she took as a little girl.

 

Vacations are also a to make discoveries about your family’s interests. It’s always good to sit down before your vacations and discuss where your family wants to go and what they want to do. But even on vacation you can discover things about what your enjoys eating and things like that.

 

I didn’t know this, but I have something to do tonight, so I’d better get on to some other things.

Do we need summer vacations? Part #1

I’ve decided to do this first today, mostly because it felt really nice to have this taken care of yesterday afternoon… Besides, I’ve thought of a question that I would really like to answer. And that question is this, is there some kind of phycological reason that most everyone takes a summer vacation, and feels cheated if we don’t get to take one? I’m really not sure what my family is going to be doing this summer. But I’m hoping to have at least one real vacation this summer.

 

Starting your own business is a lot of work, and I’m trying to keep to pretty regular hours, working on my business as much as I can each day,even when I don’t feel like it. And I am seeing some growth. But I’m feeling pretty tired by the end of each week. Looking on the internet, taking a break from your work renews your energy levels and gives you fresh perspective.. Personally I almost never work on Sundays, Saturdays it just depends on going on whether I’ll work or not. Next weekend, we are going to be celebrating my sister’s birthday, and I am not sure whether I am going to work half a day or not at all. I’m looking forward to that mini break.

 

However, what this article is saying is taking Fridays off is not the same thing. This is saying that you need at least a week of vacation to completely recharge. This also says that you should not check e-mail or take business calls while you are on your vacation. This vacation is a time to reconnect with your family and relax.

 

I think we are going to be coming back to this tomorrow.. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Big Bear, California

I got up pretty early, and think I should get on with this. We’re having our primary here today. I’m not sure when we are going to go vote, but I know I need to make the most of my time today.

Most people, when they think of visiting California, think of big cities, going to Hollywood to meet the star, visiting Los Angelos. But have you considered where these stars  go when they need a break? California has awesome mountains where people can go and just relax.. So have you ever been to Big Bear Lake, California? This is a man-made lake, but is still beautiful. Several resorts are built there. Big Bear has something for you whatever your trip budget is, and no matter what time of year to go.. Big Bear is a great place to go skiing in winter, but you will also enjoy the lake in the summer months.

If you are mostly interested in a quiet vacation for you and your family, and are interested in saving money, you should consider go in either spring or fall when rates are lower. True, you may not be able to swim or ski, but there will always be fun things for you to enjoy. Big Bear is geared to tourists year-round. And there are golf courses and spas as well.

New York, New York

Sometimes I have these Monday mornings where everything goes smoothly. I get the things done that I need to with no problems.. Other Monday mornings, like today, feel like I’m fighting a losing battle, my computer eats important e-mails [varietation on dog eating homework].. Anyway, things will hopefully get better this afternoon.

 One place I’ve always dreamed of going is New York City. I know one thing I would love to do is to see a play on Broadway. I love going to plays of any kind, but I’ve never been to the famous theater yet.. But let’s see what other things are available.

One of the first things you might want to consider is how you and your family are going to get around the city. Buses and subways are, of course, available, but you will be much less frustrated by these if you know your way around the city. First time guests might have an more difficult time getting around in cabs. And yes, New York is filled with a yellow taxis we all see in the movies. They do cost some more, but the drivers should know how to get you exactly where you want to go. Just trust me, you will not want to drive on your own, or you might spend most of your vacation stuck in traffic.

One other thing you will want to note is that New York is not a quiet place, so you will not need to worry about your children being loud and disturbing others. You will for sure want to visit Central Park, the statue of Liberty, and Times Square.

I need to go on to some other things. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Kinda personal

It’s Friday, and I’m feeling pretty tired. But I have work to do, including doing another booking hopefully. I need to figure out how to do something like this, because these people are wanting to go next month. I have some other things I want to do besides work today and this weekend, but I also feel like I need to get work stuff done, so I need to get to work.

Travel agents can be at their desks all day every day booking travel, answering e-mail and phones, reading all the latest news and everything, and that’s great. But most travel agents also take time each year to actually travel. It helps when you get out there and visit the places you are sending your clients, giving your recommendations a personal touch. I do want to go to Europe someday, but I do not think that is going to happen this year. So instead, I’m trying to talk my sister into going to DC. I actually have several reasons to go there, my favorite aunt whom we seem to see less and less of lives near there, I also have a very good friend who lives in that area, and going inside the city is always fun. But when I asked my sister about this, she said it would be a long drive. So I’m playing with the idea of flying up there. I have no idea if this is going to work at all. But I’m looking into it.

I feel like I need to go get some other things done. Sorry this is kind of short and personal.
