Start a travel club #3

I really did think about working last night. But we had gotten into traffic on the way, and it turned a two hour trip into three. By the time we were home it was almost time to meet my new evening aide. And once she left, I was tired, and didn’t want to start into everything. Today I got up early and am able to start on work which feels so nice today.

Okay, let’s get back to discussing starting a travel club. Hopefully I am going to make some more progress on my own travel club soon. Okay, either on your first or second meeting, you are going to want to decide on the club’s officers. Maybe you can discuss some candidates at your first meeting, and then make the decisions at the second. First, you are going to need to decide on the club president. The club president will preside over the meetings. The vice president is the one that is going to do the actual planning of the trips. You are going to need a secretary to take the minutes. You will also need a treasurer to handle the money and finances of the club. You may want to consider having a club historian who will keep your pictures of your trips.

Some travel club set up their own websites. And someone who knows how will have to run that.. And it’s usually best to set up a bank account for the travel club right away. That will be the treasurer’s first job.

I think we are going to do at least one more post on this. My hope is that my travel club is going to be a big part of my business..

Start a travel club #2

It’s Friday, and I have so much I want to do today. As always, I’m thinking of things I want to do to grow my business.. At the same time, I don’t think a few days of relaxation is going to do me any harm either.. I think my sister and I are going to have one nice dinner together out at a restaurant. My family almost never eats out together. We’ve also decided to go see all our family who is in the Atlanta area. I might be looking forward to that more anything.

Anyway, starting this travel club is something I’m really wanting to do. I think my main hope right now is that I’ll figure out a couple of friends in the area who will catch this vision. I know I can do all the research, and of course I want to do all the trip bookings myself. But because of my disability, I’m rather nervous about actually hosting the events by myself.

Anyone who wants to start one of these travel clubs will want to put the word out on all their social media sites.. If you want a huge group, ask your friends to post the information to their sites as well.

Your club might want to make your first meeting some kind of party. Hopefully you are going to be gathering a good many people together, and they are going to want to get to know each other… Next time, which will probably be Tuesday, we are going to discuss rules for your club.

Start a travel club #1

I have changed host agencies, and over and over again I’m truly impressed by them and all they do for us. One excellent feature is that we agents truly try to help one another. And one idea that is getting several people’s attention is starting a travel club. I’m really wanting to try this. I feel like I’m not getting out of the house much lately. I’m working a lot and enjoying that, but hope to get out with friends more somehow.. Having this travel club may be a way I can mix business and pleasure, because I want to grow my business through this club.

I learn best when I write about what I’m reading or whatever. So today let’s look at how to start a travel club.. And of course, this might be something you would be interested in starting a travel club yourself. If you want to do that and want me to be your group’s travel agent, please let me know. I would be more than happy to help you.

Okay, the first thing anyone starting a travel club needs to decide is what kind of them do you want? Do you want a family travel club? Or do you think you could gather a group of special needs group?. I know there are a lot of senior citizens groups, because some seniors love to travel. And they can travel more often.. My hope is to start a family travel group.

This article I’m reading had a great idea, and that is to make up a flyer and give that to pizza delivery guys or people who do Chinese takeout. That would be one way to get the word out to a lot of different people…

Virgin Island beaches

I’m not sure what is going on. I’m really excited about some different things with the business, have some different ideas I want to pursue. But as fast as my mind would like to go, my body is moving slowly… First, I’m trying to collect as many e-mail addresses as I can to receive E Newsletters about travel. Please let me know if you are interested.. Second, for those who are in the Columbus, Georgia area, I am going to be looking into the idea of starting a travel club. I am going to need to do a lot more investigating into all this… But first, to get my regular things done.

The Virgin Islands have many beautiful beach across their different islands. Today let’s look at a couple.. First, let’s look at tCinnamon Bay Beach, which is one of St John’s longest beaches.  Those that are into water sports can enjoy a wide variety of activities. Those that are not into playing on the beach all day can explore a museum which house different archaelogical findings.

We are going to look at another beach on St John, and that is Trunk Bay Beach. This beach is especially known for its beauty, with a lot of coconut palms. There is a self guided snorkel tour you and your family can enjoy. And there is a snackbar and grill. And they have public restrooms you can enjoy.

Budgeting for a trip to Southeast Asia?

It’s Monday, and I’m kind of fighting the feeling of the weekend wasn’t long enough. It may be because I’m still adjusting to working on Saturday. Or maybe it has more to do with my sister and I planning a fun weekend this coming weekend. Whatever it is, I’m getting over it now.

I’m actually talking to someone about maybe going to Thailand at some point.. I’m kind of surprised that this article is saying that a trip to this area is relatively inexpensive. But then again, I know that some things in China can be very inexpensive.

As with all trips, what you want to do on this trip is going to determine how much you are going to spend. Are you going to just lie on the beautiful beaches all day day? Do you want to go and party all night? What kind of accommodations do you want? Are you going to be happy sleeping anywhere, or are you dreaming of a luxurious suite? Are you more into fine restaurants or streetvendors?

These questions are something you need to consider any time you go on a trip… I’d love to help you walk through these questions and more as you prepare for your next trip. Please let me know if I can help you plan an adventure.

Wanna see the Pope?

It’s Friday, and part of me keeps thinking of things I want to do, but part of me is kind of ready for some weekend fun too.. I’m not sure where the balance is, but I’ll figure it out. It’s time to get some things done.

My Grandpa died this past summer, as most of you know.. But what you may not know is that Grandpa was Catholic. I have also known a lot of other Catholics.. The Catholic church here is very active in our pro life group. And I also know that you don’t necessarily have to be Catholic in order to want to see the Pope. So here are some tips if you are making plans to see the Pope.

• First, as you can imagine, security is going to be tight at the airport to these cities. If you are flying to one of these cities, you’ll want to plan on staying a couple of days before and a couple of days after.
• Another way you can avoid some of the craziness is to travel by train instead of by airplane. Amtrak is making preparations for that by increasing the number of people they are going to be able to take to that area during that Time.
• You will want to keep in mind that some people are looking to make money any way they can. Be very careful when you buy tickets. Some of these events are actually free.
• And of course, since a lot of people are going to want to come to these events, prices for hotels and other accommodations are going to be higher than normal.

Vacation like the rich and famous

I’ve just found out that my sister and I are probably going to Tennessee, not this weekend but the following. I’m not sure whether  ing Ito work that Monday or not. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.. Anyway…

Everyone loves stories like Cinderella, rags to riches stories. And that may be especially true when it comes to travel. I think everyone dreams of traveling in luxury. And okay, it wouldn’t hurt my feelings to plan luxury trips. We travel agents work on commission. A lot of us have likely thought at one time or another, “I wish I could live like that for a day or two.” Well, maybe now you can..

You’ll have to know where to look, or know someone who can figure it out, which is where I would come in. But some celebrities are starting to rent out their homes. Could you imagine waking up in Christie Brinkley’s home? Or would staying on Richard Branson’s island which he considers his home away from home be more your thing?. I’m sure these things are going to cost a pretty penny. But I would love to look some of these places up if you are interested.

St Lucia resort remodeling

Now let’s get on to some travel news. The resort known as The Body Holiday in St Lucia has decided to undergo major renovations. We’re talking like twenty million dollars worth. Their plan is to build around fifty additional rooms, they will also be upgrading their current room,adding some restaurants, and upgrading and adding to their other facilities. These renovations are supposed to be completed in late 2015.

The rooms are going to beequipped with noise cancellation, better lighting, better wi-fi. The bathrooms are going to be redone with free standing tubs. Ground-floor rooms will have direct access to the beach. This is what is known as a health and wellness resort so they are going to have all kinds of spa treatments. It looks like you get one free couples’ massage with your room. Please let me know if you are interested in something like this.

Culinary cruise

My sister in law came in for a quick visit. She and my brother live out in New Mexico. But she’s back east and stopped by for a couple of hours. So I’m getting a very late start today. I’m It is turning into one of those days where things keep up, things are taking longer than usual, people keep coming by. But anyway, I am going to try to get some work done.

Culinary travel is becoming more and more popular. I mean, who doesn’t like to eat, especially when they are on vacation? People are describing themselves as foodies more and more. So Oceania Cruises has decided to tap into this growing market, and do a culinary cruise along the Mediterranean. And Master Chef Jacques Pepin will be the host of this event.

People who go on this cruise will be able able to go to book signings with the chef. There will also be meet and greets you can attend. And of course, there will also be culinary demonstrations by the host himself. They will have specially designed menus, and lots of ways you can indulge your epicurea side.
