Things to bring to a hotel

We got back into town today.. I’m waiting for my bible study to start, and want to try to get this done… I didn’t get any time to be online this trip, and have several things I want to do, but anyway.

And no, we didn’t stay in a hotel. My parents have bought a couple of other houses.. Okay, anyway.. You might want to consider bringing a power strip the next time you go to a hotel.. These days everyone has a phone or other device they want to make sure is charged overnight. And this will save you from having to run all over the hotel room looking for plugs. You won’t have to think about swapping out devices and things getting only half the charge

You might also want to bring a cooler. It depends on how big your family is how big a cooler you will want to bring. You don’t want your delicious restaurant leftovers… Okay, my study is starting so I need to go. We’ll likely look at this more tomorrow.

It’s Friday, and I wish I knew what we are going to be doing next week as far as how much time I am going to have online. I’m kind of on a roll here, and don’t really want to take time off.. But it will work out one way or the other.

Travel agents, like most sales people need to know their products. I’m trying to figure out a way to kind of do this systematically since there is so much to learn in this industry.. I am going to start by going through Norwegian’s training program.. So when I saw this about Norwegian, it kind of caught my notice. They are going to start having a “Legends in concert” on their ship The Pearl. For those that don’t know, “Legends in concert” is where people who like look the artists come and perform the artists’ work. This is something that is done on the Strip in Vegas. Norwegian wants to provide the best in entertainment for its guests.

In other news, Norwegian is planning to enter the Chinese market. They are going to have to build a new ship in order to do this. This cruise is going to be designed for the Chinese people themselves. Norwegian has done a lot of research as far as what Chinese travelers expect in upscale cruising. But if you want to immerse yourself in Chinese culture, this might be a great experience for you too.

Let me know if you want to go on something like this.

Renew your vows at Jewel

I didn’t get nearly as far on my newsletter project as I would have liked. I am trying to do several different things, and was kind of running into roadblocks yesterday. We are going to be out of town some next week. And I’m not sure how much I am going to be online. We’ll just have to wait and see.

My heart for this business is that I really want to help families reconnect through travel. And one way to get couples coming back to you time and again is to work on their honeymoons. That is what I hear anyway. So that’s why this article kind of caught my eye. Jewel Resorts are in Jamaica which makes the perfect backdrop for your wedding or vow renewal.

First, these resorts have a wedding planner who is going to oversee every detail of your special day. They will have someone there who can perform the ceremony. They will give you a boutineer for the groom and a single flower for the bride. You will also be given a 5×7 photograph.

After the wedding, you and your guests will be given a thirty minute reception. I had to go back and read that again, but thirty minutes is right. I’m used to receptions lasting much longer.. But anyway, you will get cold appetizers and a small cake. please let me know if you are interested.

Anyone interested in a world cruise?

I have a big project I’m working on, and there is so much I want to do on that that things are just kind of crazy. This project is to get a lot more suscribers to the travel E newsletters from this program I’m about to enroll in. Please let me know if you are interested. I am going to do some training this afternoon and should be able to tell you a lot more about what these newsletters offer.

Okay, have you ever gone on a vacation and wished that you could have stayed a lot longer. The cruise we are going to talk about today is probably not practical for young families, but maybe you know someone you would like to recommend this to? Please let them know about this and about me.. Anyway, Cunard is offering an one hundred and thirty day cruise. Anyone going on this cruise will get to explore lots of different places in the world. England, Australia, Africa, and China are some of the places they will be visiting.  This one is going to cost you a little more than 22,000.

More to see in France

I have a confession to make. I absolutely love the holidays that are coming up. However I do not like Halloween, I’m just not into spooky stuff… Now I love Thanksgiving and all the celebration around Christmas. And I will write some posts about holiday stuff to do. But I don’t want to write anything about Halloween, don’t think the holiday is very family friendly.. But anyway.

We are going to talk about France today. I am going to skip Paris because I’ve done a post on that city recently. So let’s talk about Normandy. History buffs are going to love this place. The beaches are still known by their code names from World War II.

You might also want to visit Loire Valley which is about a two hour drive from Normandy. Renting a car is probably the most convenient way to  explore France. Loire Valley has A beautiful castle which has some fantastic artwork and a wonderful restaurant.

If you like exploring vineyards, you might want to try Bordeaux. Yes, some of their vineyards are quite expensive, but others are not .

And here’s where a travel agent like me comes in handy.. It can get complicated to make reservations for the different hotels. I can help you figure out what you want to do and how much time you should spend at each place. Let me know if you are interested.

Taking the weekend off has helped me get refocused on work. There are several things I now want and need to do. I’ve changed my e-mail address to Hopefully I am going to be able to figure out how to switch everything over pretty easily. And that’s just one thing I want to get to. Having the end of summer blues?

630x355 (11)It’s Friday and I’m tired, ready to have some fun this weekend , and hopefully have a more productive week next week. But who could get really tired of their job when part of their job is looking at pictures like this all day?

Personally, I am really glad that this summer is coming to an end. I’m ready for cooler weather and the holidays. But maybe you don’t feel the way I do. Maybe you either didn’t get much of a vacation or had so much fun on your vacation that you never wanted to leave. Whatever your situation is, you might be able to get some more “summertime” by going to this beautiful place. This place is in the Caribbean, and you are going to find lovely temperatures as well as beautiful waters and scenery.. And what’s more, several places in the Caribbean are offering people deals if you want to go.

Take the Bahamas Grand Lucayan Resort as an example. It is offering a wellness package called “Feel Grand and Healthy”. You may be able to get up to 45% off your room. And they are going to give you lean dining options, complimentary fitness classes, spa treatments, as well as other activities. Please let me know if you are interested in anything like this.

More on cruises

630x355 (3)

It’s pretty usual for me to have a pretty good idea of everything I want to write about in a blog post. But today I’m not sure what all we may discuss. But let’s get started anyway, and we’ll see how this turns out.

Because it is National Cruise Month, we are going to be looking at cruise news.. First, in a recent Reader’s Digest survey, people chose Carnival as their most trusted cruise line. What exactly does that mean? It means that you trust Carnival to give I you great value on a quality and reliable vacation. Carnival was among the first to make cruising available to the average man or woman. Before this, cruising was only for the rich.

Some people love their holiday traditions and will not break them for any reason. Others, maybe especially after the death of a loved one, feel the need to change things up. If your family is looking to do something different this holiday season, you might want to look at planning a cruise for your holiday time together. Cruises always make the holidays exciting. Some will make every effort to make you feel like you’re at home. Others you can forego all the traditions you want.

To celebrate National Cruise Month, a group called Costa is having a sale. You can get a lot of onboard credit. They are having reduced deposits as well. Please let me know if you are interested in any of this.

Disney cruises

Life is feeling somewhat crazy. I feel like I’m just kind of doing the necessary things with work. I need to figure something else out with my business e-mail account. And it feels like I’m just doing that and whatever is necessary and not really getting anywhere, and it’s really frustrating. But anyway, I will figure this stuff out. I also have some personal stuff going on. Hopefully we are going to figure that stuff out as well.

Okay, since this is National Cruise Month, and since Disney is so popular with families, let’s look at Disney cruises today… Disney is obviously geared towards families, so there is always something for you and each member of your family to do. And that’s true whether you are looking to make memories together or wanting to enjoy some time without the kids. Disney cruises have great children’s clubs where your children can play and learn at the same time…

Disney has meals that will cater to any taste, whether you like plain everyday food or want to try gourmet dishes. And children can be to set up to eat dinner with their parents. Their meals will be served right away, and then they are taken to the club so adults can enjoy their dinners at you their own pace.

And about their shows.. I know they do Disney movies, and Broadway type shows of Disney films. I don’t know if they do any “more adult” type shows or not.. Please let me know if you are interested in a Disney cruise. I would love to help you out with that.
