I have a lot on my mind right now. I have applied to be a regular contributor on a website, and I’m waiting to hear on on that. This is kind of a long shot, but anyway. I’m also needing to make some decisions about host agency stuff. I’m kind of in a mess right now. But anyway, let me get this done so that I can get on to other things.
Sometimes you go on vacation, and all you really want to do is to be with your family or friends and relax. Other times, you go somewhere really wanting to explore the culture of the place you are visiting. This post is going to be for you when you want to do the latter.
- The first thing that you will want to do is to actually avoid group Tours. You’ll want to do this because they tend to have everything already planned out for you. In fact, you will want to do as little planning as possible before your trip.
- Or you might want to book a few tours with local guides. Have them show you around their marketplaces. Listen to the stories they tell about these places. Ask them to take you to their favorite restaurants. Guides have also been known to invite their guests into their own homes, to weddings and to other events that most tourists wouldn’t be allowed to go to.
- Staying in the big resorts will nt give you a taste of the culture. Staying in the smaller hotels will give you a better feel of the place.. It will also help you meet some of the locals.
