Plan that multi generation trip #2

I’m sorry. I know that I’ve talked about multi generation trip before, and I will probably talk about it again. But I don’t like always writing about COVID, and what is opened and what isn’t. That gets really old really fast. I’m also looking for other topics to write about. And I would love to hear from you if you would like to have some questions that you would like answering on this blog. I would be more than happy to answer them.

  • The point of these trips is to spend time together as a big. But that does not mean that you have to stay in the same place. Yes, they do have some huge places that you can stay together. But some families have pretty different standards about what is acceptable and what isn’t. And other families may enjoy being together, but also need some time where not everyone is together.
  • There are a lot of places that you can book over the internet. You can find a lot of houses and condos that you can rent. And of course, you can also book most hotels online. You can even book time at a campground online.
  • A lot of people figure that once you have figured out when you are going to take your vacation, and have the place, or places, you will stay, you don’t need to do anymore planning. But that is wrong. You will want to plan some activities for your family to do together. And that is especially true if you have a large family. And just like you don’t have to stay in the same place, everyone does not have to do all of the same things all. Little groups can go here and there.
  • And one thing that every family has to do is to eat. You are going to want to figure that out. Does everyone want to do all of the meals together? Does each individual family want to take care of their own breakfasts and lunches together, and then have big family dinners. It’s up to you what you want to do.

Plan that multi generation trip #1

It used to be that a couple would marry and have children, and then those children would grow up and get married and raise their families on farms not far from their parents. But now our jobs are no longer mostly farming jobs, people are choosing more of what they want to do and how they want to live. Families end up moving all over the country, or maybe even farther away, getting the jobs they want. I know my Mom’s family is up and down the the East Coast. And with one exception now, all of my siblings are on east Coast too. Personally we’ll gather at one another’s houses. But what do you do when you want to reconnect with your parents and siblings? Today let’s start talking about planning a multi generational trip and how to do it right.

  • The first thing that you will want to do is to have everyone that wants to participate to do some brainstorming. You will want to get your whole family to come. It might involve some talking and maybe even some coercing on your part. Get one person from each nuclear family to brain storm everything their family will need. Is anyone on a special diet? Might anyone need special accommodations because they’re getting older or have a disability? Have everyone come up with some dates that would work well for their family. And also have each family think of some places that they would like to go.
  • Another very important question is, what can everyone afford? Not all families make the same money. And not everyone has the same priorities when it comes to money. Do you want to go on a cruise? You might be surprised at how inexpensive cruises can be? Do you want to rent a condo and have everyone split the cost?
  • You will want to gather all of that info together, and then you will want to decide. Do you want to do the planning, or do you want a travel agent to do it? I know that that planning something like this could take a lot of work. Do you have the time to do it? Travel agents are paid a commission when they book hotels, car rentals, cruises and things like that.

Why Carnival in 2021?

The CDC is considered to decide whether or not it is safe to cruise sometime this week. We don’t know what exactly cruising is going to look like in the future. But we’re hoping that cruising is going to be great in 2021. Today let’s look some at reasons why you and your family might want to take a cruise with Carnival in 2021.

  • Carnival is the largest fleet in the world. And this makes them the most able to handle the challenges that have come our way this year. They have scrapped some ships and have sold some others. Doing this has allowed them to remain strong as a business.
  • Carnival is already doing all of the necessary research to ensure that both you as their guests, and all of their crew are kept safe. They are working on figuring out these procedures with the help of the CDC as well as health authorities in other countries around the world.
  • Not only do they have the largest number of ships, they also have quite a few ports which you will be able to choose from. This allows you to choose ports that are close to your home which cuts out some of that extra travel. This also means that everything will be a little less complicated.

Reading the travel news, more and more people seem ready to hit the open road and do some traveling. I think that a lot of us are bored, tired of doing the same thing day after day, week after week. For some of us, doing some road trips sounds like a good idea. Others of us are being pulled to do a trip that includes flying. The airline industry is about ready to start making some money again, and is starting to offer some great deals. Another advantage flying these days is that you should have plenty of room to stretch out wherever choose to fly. Also, many of the airlines have at least lowered, if not dropped, their fees when you decide to make a change in your plans. And now, since I can’t think of anymore to write, here is a video.

Social distancing vacation ideas

I’m not sure what you are doing about going on in the world right now. You might still be barricaded in your home, not going anywhere unless you have to. Or you might be going anywhere and everywhere that you can. Either way, here are some ideas for social distancing vacations that you and your family might want to consider..

  • Fall is a great time to go camping. I know that a lot of families go camping every year in this season. Camping is a great time to make ‘smores, to hike, and to go fishing. It is also a great time to sit around a campfire as family talking, laughing and telling stories.
  • We have just just been talking about renting a condo, and the right way to go about it. Fall is the perfect time to rent a mountain cabin. Go somewhere and maybe pray to be snowed in. Cook up your favorite comfort food, or pick some up before you get to your cabin. Enjoy time playing games as a family, or everyone curl up with a good book around the fire.
  • Many people feel safest when traveling in their own vehicle. Hit the open road and go on a road trip. You may not really care where you go. You just want to go somewhere and do something.

More about condos

We are going to talk some more about condos, and what you should do.

  • You have chosen to rent a house instead of staying at a hotel for a reason Remember that reason.. You are not going to have maid service No one is going to turn down for you., If you want someone to clean up after you, you are going to have to pay for it.
  • When something goes wrong or breaks, you may be tempted not to do anything about it. But don’t do that When something comes up, let the owner know right away. It will help you, it will help them. And it will also help future guests as well.
  • You will want to know what all of the rules are for the house you’re looking at before you book with them. Who knows? You might be too young to book the place. Wouldn’t you love that? Remember that you are staying in someone else’s home. Be nice and follow their rules.
  • And please, let everyone who is going to be staying at the house know about the rules. You don’t want something happening, and then you may become responsible for something that one of your friends did, do you? Have a little meeting, and go over the rules with everyone..

Tips on renting that condo

Today I am going to give some advice for those that are looking at renting a condo for their next vacation.. You might be planning a big family gathering which no one has the room or motivation to host. Or your nuclear family might just to take a break from your house. Either way, here are some things that you will want to keep in mind.

  • In real estate, they say that location is everything. You will want to be to sure where the place you’re looking at is. Is it close to the the places that you would like to go? Are you going to have easy access to a grocery store and/or restaurants? You will want to check on all of that, unless you are going away to get away from everything.
  • You know that you can edit photo, people do it all of the time these days. And a lot of people also know how to take pictures at the best angles. You will want to look at the pictures of the places that you are considering, but don’t go by just the photos.
  • You will want to book your condo through a vacation rental service. Craiglist is known for having a lot of scams, so you will not want to book anything through them. Also you will want to go with people who accept credit cards. Those who want money transfers are also suspect.
  • Most the good websites have places for both the host and the guest to leave reviews of the visit. You will want to read those reviews and kind of figure out what is going on with house. Read any complaints the hosts have and try not to do those things yourself.

They have something for everyone between the ages of three and seventeen. The the club is at no additional charge.. But they will charge you something for late night babysitting.

Royal Caribbean’s Voyager #1

Did you know that at one time Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas was the largest cruise ship in the world? They have, of course, built bigger ships since then. But today, let’s take a look at some of what the Voyager has to offer.

  • First of all, you should know that the Voyager has gone through several dry dock periods, and is now something that many of today’s travelers should enjoy. It has many of the amenities that you would think of when you think of a cruise today.
  • Families are going to love this ship because there is so much to do. They will especially love all of the water fun that is to be had on this ship. Some pools are going to have all kinds of drink options for you to enjoy while you relax by the pool. They also have an ice skating rink, laser tag and a full basketball court.
  • Another thing that a lot of families will enjoy is that once you are on board, there is a lot you are going to be able to do at no additional charge. For starters, you will be free to get food from any of the main dining rooms. And there are a few other restaurants where you can eat for free. You will be able to take in all of their shows at no cost. You will also have access to their fitness and sports equipment. And of course, your children are going to be able to go to their kids’ club.
