- Today we are going to look at some fun trends in family cruising. Cruises are great ways to bring the whole extended families together, because there are so many different things you can do on a cruise. The cruise ships they build these days are often huge, and surely they will be able to accommodate your family, whatever size it is. Do you want to all stay in one area? Most cruises are going to be more than happy to accommodate you.
- While a lot of the staterooms are going to be smaller than your normal hotel room, most cruiselines are listening to you and building larger staterooms.
- Is some of your family really into their health? Most cruises are going to have all of the eating options like vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and all of that. Cruise ships are also going to have places where everyone can work out.
More flight tips
I have lots that I would like to get done. So let’s go on and get started looking at some more tips for those long flights.
- It will never hurt to ask for an upgrade. You may have to pay to get it, and it is going to be up to you to decide whether or not you want to pay to get it. And of course, frequent flyers can always use their points to get an upgrade.
- Not only are you allowed to bring snack, it is a good idea to do so. You can never be sure when the crew is going to get food to you. It depends on what else they have going on. Bring foods that are less likely to make a mess. They are going to provide a meal or two for you on these long flights, but you can never be sure what they are going to have, or if you’ll like it.
- Sitting for hours on end is not good for anyone. Trust me, I’m disabled, I know all about that. Get up and use the bathroom. Take time to walk around a bit after you go.
Flying tips
It is Monday, time to get back to work for real. Sorry about the past weekend, it got kind of crazy. I think my weekends are going to get busier, and I’m working on figuring that out.
But today we are going to talk some about long flights. The big travel news is that much of Europe is about to reopen its doors to those who get vaccinated. Let’s talk about some tips that will help you get through those long flights.
- First, please wear comfortable. And yes, I am talking about those old sweats that you said you’d never wear outside your house again. You need to be comfortable. You are likely to need to try to sleep some on these flights. You will also to bring layers, because you never know how warm it is going to be. Bring shoes you can slip on and off quickly.
- On long flights, you will want to do your best not to get stuck between two people. It will be so nice if you can stretch out. Some like the window seat, and others prefer the aisle.
- You will want to keep hydrated during your flight. Drink juice and water.. Try not to drink stuff with caffeine or alcohol because these dehydrate you.
Do you just want to get out your house and go somewhere, anywhere. And with so many working from home, it should be somewhat easier to travel, right? That was kind of a joke. Travel is like just about anything else these days, complicated. Today we are going to look some quiet beach towns that you might be interested in.
First we are going to take a look at Bandon, Oregon. This would be a great place to go if you just love the beach, if you and your family love doing outdoor activities, or if you are a foodie. Of course, you could love all three. It is a beautiful beach with lots of rock formation. It is a great place to go kayaking or fishing. They also have a lot of great restaurants.

Today let’s look at some more ways to get a cruise for free.
- A lot of businesses will work with travel agents to do some kind of big promotion and will give away a cruise package. Often these will come in the form of a contest. Know the rules of the contest and follow them please. No one likes a cheater. Contests where you have to fill something longer, like a survey, out is going to be more likely for you to win than something quick where all you have to do is to make a a quick phone call.
- Many credit card companies have points you earn when you buy things using their credit card. Some credit cards will give you more points when you buy certain types of things. For example, they may give you more when you buy gas. Pay attention to the things that will give you more points..

But anyway, have you ever wondered if you might be able to get a free cruise? Cruises are absolutely wonderful vacations. There are so many different things you can do when you can take a cruise. If a free cruise interests you, please read on.
One way you might be able to get a free cruise is if you were to know any crew members. That is probably the easiest way to get a free cruise, and may not require you to do much in return. But since not many people know a crew member, let’s look into some other ways you may be able to get a free cruise.
Timeshares love to give their presentations. And often they are going to give you something for attending these presentations. Sometimes that is even going to be a free cruise. Be warned, though, these people do put a good bit of pressure on you to buy into their timeshare. And that pressure may not end once you the meeting. - In order to save the most money, you will want to cruise in the fall. Fall is when most hurricanes take place, but cruises are pretty careful about kind of thing and can always reroute. Fall is also the time when most everyone is getting into their routines again

Saturday turned out to be one of those days where work just did not happen. I apologize, and will try to do better. However, I do keep feeling like this summer is going to get pretty busy. I am going to do the best I can. We will see. Let’s look at some more travel tips.
- And the first one we are going to look at today is to note that public transportation is often the least expensive way to get around a place. Taxis vary on how much they charge, and sometimes taxi drivers can be unreliable? Renting cars can get expensive too. Public transportation is usually going your best bet, unless you want to walk. And not only is walking free, it is also a great way to get to know the city.
- Sometimes you just need to go on and use a travel agent. I highly recommend using an agent when you are planning something like your honeymoon. I also recommend using a travel agent when you are planning something big, something like your whole extended family taking a vacation together. Travel agents make money when we book things like hotels, cruises or car rentals. Personally I do not charge anything over and above that.
- Students are going to be able to get special discounts at some places. The same can be said for military personnel. Know what discounts are available to you and your family and use them.
