There is always something new to learn when you are a travel agent. I know I need to determine my niche and stay with that. I know I want to do family travel, but that is still too broad.. I’ll figure it out.
But anyway, let’s get to Barbados. Did you know that George Washington himself visited Barbados? I just learned that myself. This was before the great man became famous. He was actually just a lad of nineteen. He was in the area for two months. And the place he stayed is now called George Washington House. Washington was quite sick in this place and actually could have died. But he didn’t and the rest, as they say, is history.
Do you like going to old lighthouses? Barbados has one whose light is not rotating. Barbados has a total of lighthouses. You are also going to find a military cemetery in this place. Even before this place was used as an official cemetery, the people used to bury their dead in this swamp.
Barbados is big in the sugar trade. There is a museum here that will help explain their part in the industry. And yes, at the end of your tour, you will be able to sample the wares. I am going to stop here, but I would love to know what you think about this, or any questions you might have.
