Disney’s river cruises

I have several things for the business I want to try to get to today. Everything has to do with getting some clients coming to me. So first, let me take care of my basics before starting on anything new.

Disney seems to do a remarkable job no matter what they put their hand to. And now they have joined hands with Amawaterways that you’ll not soon to forget.

Their very first river cruise is going to be called, “Once Upon a Rhine,” because Disney is all about stories. This happens to be taking place on a brand new ship by Amawaterways. And one of the stories they will feature is “Beauty and the Beast”.

So what will you do on one of these river cruises? Well, for starters, every single excursion on this voyage will be included in your cruise fare. A lot of river cruises are going to cover some of your excursions, but once again Disney goes over and above. And Disney does most of their own excursions which means you are going to get excellent excellent tours with some great stories. There will be biking and canoeing trips, but there will also be less strenuous activities as well.

I would love to know any thoughts or questions you might have about any of this. Please also let me know if you are interested in a river cruise by Disney. I would love to help you plan one.

River cruising with kids

Most the time, when you think of river cruising, you will think of people that are older, retired.. Most river cruises will not have programs for children. But that does not mean that children can’t go with their parents and have a marvelous time. Today let’s look at some reasons you might want to take your children on a river cruise.

  • Most children love being with other children, no matter their race or language. A lot of river cruises are big into education. And so sometimes you will be visiting schools, allowing your children to play with other kids. This may be a great opportunity to teach your children to share by bringing extra school supplies or toys.
  • You are likely to be visiting castles, and kids love castles. After all, castles play a big part in the fairy tales, and children still believe in these stories. And speaking of stories, children will probably love the tales told in the temples you may visit.
  • River cruises tend to do the more extravagant shore excursions. This is likely to add the wow factor for anyone, but for children who love surprises, this is extra special. .
  • Another thing your children will likely love are the markets. You might have to set some rules on how much you will spend. But markets are a great way to learn about other people’s cultures.

Reasons river cruising is growing more and more

630x355 (1)

I’m not sure what my weekend plans are. I know we have an old friend coming in for a few days.. I have some things I would like to do for work, but we’ll see how everything pans out.

River cruising is a hot topic in the travel industry these days. This segment is really growing. And today we are going to look at some reasons why.

  • River cruises are great for those who are a little older, and maybe have a taste for the finer things in life. These people usually simply have more time, and money for travel.
  • River cruise boats typically hold many fewer people than ocean cruises. And this means a higher level of service for everyone. Smaller groups also makes everything feel a lot more intimate.. This is a great place to meet new friends with similar interests.
  • You are usually given a choice of a glass of beer with your lunch and dinner. That’s just one of the many little perks you can enjoy on these cruises.
  • You are going to find a much higher quality of food on board these ships. Part of it is just that these people know their clientele. But with the smaller ships, they can’t bring all the food that they are going to need on these voyages, so they buy food locally. This also brings up the quality of the food.
  • And you are going to be able to get an up close and personal with the destination on you are to see. These boats are able to get to places the huge ships can’t. They hey usually can give you more time to explore these places, some of these cruises even have overnight stays.

I would love to know your thoughts on this, or any questions you might have.

River cruising is not just for older people

630x355 (1)

It is Friday, and part of me just wants to get the more necessary things over over and done with. There’s so much I could be doing, but my family has some other things we’re planning to do this weekend.. And that includes going to the theater, something that is very rare for us.

River cruising is kind of a hot topic in the industry. But up to this point, the majority of river cruisers are those that are older. They’re usually retired, and usually this is something people wouldn’t want to take children with them on these trips. Sure, river cruises are done at a slower pace. River cruises feature exexcellent dining experiences which older people love. But, don’t younger people enjoy fine dining too? River cruises offer a lot of educational and cultural experiences. Again, don’t young people enjoy those things just as much as older people?

But the hopeful news is Disney is going to be starting to offer river cruises. And everyone knows that Disney’s market is families.. Hopefully we are going to get more details on what exactly they are offering in the coming weeks.

Avalon Waterways

I think everyone knows by now that I have changed host agencies. Host agencies are basically the umbrella company that home based agents work through. So far I have nothing but praise for these people. There is so much I want to be doing these days. I am going to go through some of their destination training and blog about it as a way to kind of kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

Today we are going to be looking at Avalon Waterways. This is a river cruise company, and one of the things that sets them a part is their accommodations. They have some of the largest cabins and balconies in the industry. 75% of their ships are all suite ships. And on these ships, their smallest suite are about 170 square feet. They pride themselves on having the most space everywhere on their ships. Even their bathrooms are big.

Each room is going to have a stocked refrigerator. The maids will come and restock your refrigerator each morning, so you should have no worries about that. They have some upscale hair and beauty products for you to use at no additional charge. Most river cruising is done in Europe, and with Avalon, your morning excursion is included in the price. Please let me know if you are interested in taking a river cruise. We are going to get back to this tomorrow.

Should you go on a river cruise?

630x355 (1)Okay, so you know you need a break from your day to day life. Have you considered taking a river cruise? These are the up and coming vacations for the travel industry.

The first advantage of these cruises is that you will not be fighting traffic or having any worries. The cruise people are going to handle all the details for you. Your biggest concern might be deciding which of the scrumptious meals you are going to eat.And you should also know that river cruises are usually mucH smaller, more intimate affairs. So you will not be fighting crowds on the ship. The crew will have more time to serve you. This should also allow you to get to know your fellow passengers better.

You can make yourself at home on these ships. You will not have to to pack every time you move to a new destination. You will likely be stopping at a port most every day of your travels. Don’t get me wrong, there is usually plenty to do on the ship, but you will be seeing everything that you want to see.. Okay, please let me know if you are interested in a river cruise.

About Disney once more

630x355 (1)

Tuesdays are my mornings to get up early I love it. I was working into the evening last night and still didn’t accomplish everything I would have liked. So anyway, let’s get started.

Okay, I think we’ve covered this before, but Disney has several different divisions. There are their two big theme parks, and of course both those parks have different resorts you can stay at. Then Disney does cruises . They have a resort in Hawaii. And then also have something called Adventures by Disney. And it’s Adventures by Disney we are going to discuss today, because apparently they are going to start doing river cruises in 2016.

The ship they are going to use will hold less than two hundred people. Each sailing will be seven nights on the Danube River. And on these cruises will be touring four countries.

I would love to know if you are interested in one of these cruises… I would also love to know what your summer vacation plans are. Please let me know if you need any help with those plans.

Viking comes to the States

630x355 (1)

I started a post earlier this morning. But sadly I can’t find it anywhere. So I am going to do this again. Thankfully it shouldn’t take that long.

Apparently, Viking, who is known for its European river cruises, has decided to bring its services to the states in 2017. Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn wouldn’t recognize these ships, because Viking is a luxur cruise line, giving you great accommodations and excellent food. You will also be touring some fine museums and other nice places along.

The first two ships are slated to be ready in late 2017, with four more to be ready over the next two years. The people who go on these river cruises will be touring the Mississippi River, enjoying stops at places like Baton Rouge and New Orleans, as well as St Louis. These ships will have a much more intimate feel than ocean cruises because these river boats only take about three hundred hundred guests as opposed to thousands on ocean cruises.

It is going to be a while before you can take one of these trips, but let me know if this peeks your interest.

Viking #2

I am amazed at what I was able to accomplish yesterday. My hope is to grow Family Trips Inc a lot more this year. I was able to get up pretty early, so I am going to go on and do this, so I can get on to some other things.

Let’s talk about Viking again today. These river cruise ships allow you to eat outdoors any time you would like to watch the river as you eat. Outside there is also a lounge that has buffets for every meal. But the buffets are made up of lighter foods, perfect for when you know you are going to be doing a lot of walking and don’t want to be so full you can’t enjoy the tour. No matter where you eat, you will always be able to get beer or or wine with lunch and dinner. Even in the dining room, you are going to be able to decide when you want to eat and with whom. Viking allows you to bring whatever beverages you would like at no additional fee.

They also have some of the largest staterooms on the river. Viking is not a cheap cruise by any means. But the ships are elegantly decorated. They put a lot of windows in their vessels so you can enjoy the view. You will be able to read from their library which mostly has literature from the area you are exploring. I am going to stop here for now.. Let me know if you are interested.

River cruises part #2

I am working on a trip for friends of my parents. I’ve sent some information about a couple of different places to them. Hopefully we are going to figure this trip out. I am going to do this while I wait to hear back.

Back to river cruises. You are not going to have to worry about how you are going to get from one place to the other on river cruises, all of that is covered for you. They have complimentary wi-fi, although I’m not quite sure what that means. Uniworld calls itself a six-star experience. And the first star represents their expertise. They are the oldest river cruise line to cater to the North American clientele. Most of their cruises are to Europe, so the crew knows the destinations well. They have a ratio of one staff member for every three guests. Most cruise lines have that ratio as one to four. Uniworld also prides itself on having pretty unique décor, décor that is most like what you would see in Europe.

You are going to also experience some wonderful cuisine on board these ships. They have one master chef who oversees all the food that you will be served. They make it a point to buy locally, enabling you to have very fresh food. They mostly serve food that is inspired by the places you are visiting… If you were to go on one of these cruises, you would have several choices each day as to what you would do at each port of call.

You will be getting a great value on your trip. Everything is included in the price of the cruise itself except anything you would have done at a spa or anything you buy at the gift shop. Everything about these ships is luxurious. Think of a country club floating on the water.

I think it is time for me to stop once more. Is anyone interested in a river cruise? Please let me know.
