How to stay cheap in Vegas

I know I’ve mentioned this trip before, but one fall my family drove out west. There were seven of us children at that point, so we were always looking for inexpensive hotels and lodging. I know we stayed at a campground, and we also stayed with friends and family along the way.. Anyway, I do remember we spent one night in Vegas, and I know we got a pretty inexpensive om there.. I was seventeen or eighteen at that time… I’m wondering now if you could get better deals than you can these days.. A lot of the time, you are still going to be able to get a good deal on a room. Here are some tips that might help.

• You will save a lot of money if you stay somewhere besides the strip. Even staying a few blocks away is going to save you about fifty percent. Stay in the inexpensive hotel chains or in hotels that have small casinos.
• Book a stay in one of the hotels downtown if you don’t want want to be too far away from the action. Some of these hotels will have great deals for you. You can always find a taxi or other means of transportation if you have flown in.
• Stay in off brand hotels. This is an especially good idea if you are going to just want a bed and a shower. True, you can never be sure what you’re getting, but it might be worth the experiment.
• This might be the perfect time to book your reward nights . Book it early enough, and you won’t even have to use an exorbitant amount of points.

Hotels you might want to visit

I think I’ve just about caught up on e-mail from being gone for two weeks. I need to work on the article I’m trying to revive. And I do want to post an in depth report about my trip.. There are several things I need to do. So let’s do this.

Winter is a great time to take a vacation for a lot of reasons. Most people aren’t even thinking about taking vacations, but hotels and other travel suppliers are still wanting to keep even somewhat busy, so they are going to offer some of their best deals in winter. Today we are going to look at some deals.

• Hotel Alyeska is in Girdwood, Alaska, and because it is by the sea, it is going to have some milder weather. This is a smaller ski resort where a lot of Alaskans go, but hardly anyone else has heard of it yet. You are going to get fantastic deals if you go between the weekends. You’ll even get free lift tickets.
• San Francisco is a city that is mostly dead in winter. Still interested in visiting? Maybe you want to do a romantic getaway there, or a girls’ weekend. Yes, here you can get good deal even in winter. The Palace Hotel is an old property , but has recently gone through a multi million dollar refurbishment. This place sounds classy. You can sit and listen to a piano player. This hotel is going to be pretty central to everything you’ll want to see in the city.
• Or you may want to try our nation’s capitol. D.C. clears out on weekends. So you are going to have the monuments, The Smithsonian museums, and all the city’s attractions to yourself. The Ritz-Carlton Washington has the deals, and will also give you the royal treatment.

Romance in Spain

Getting everything back to normal when you’ve not done much at all for two weeks takes a while. I need to remember that and accept it. I’m also kind of still fighting jetlag in the evenings… Also, just to let you know, I do plan to give a detailed account of my trip sometime in the the near near future. Be on the lookout for that.

Valentine’s Day was exactly a week ago. But if you didn’t get much time with your spouse, there’s never a bad time to plan a romantic holiday. And today we are going to take a look at some things you might consider if you went to Madrid.

Madrid has a lot of beautiful parks around the city which make the perfect place for long walks with intimate conversation or picnics. You will also find a lot of places to take beautiful pictures so that you will remember your special trip.

But where would you stay? What about the beautiful, newly renovated Barcelo Emperatriz. From this hotel, you’ll be able to look out your window and see one of their beautiful parks.. Pampering happens in every part of this hotel. They ensure that each of the beds is luxurious, complete with 300 count cotton sheets. A rainfall shower is another part of the pampering. You may be able to get a whirlpool perfect for two. Other amenity in your room include huge tvs, free wi-fi, and room service is available whenever you get hungry.

Why should you do pre and post cruise stays

I’m a travel agent, so I’m always reading about travel of all kind . And one thing I often hear about is pre and post cruise stays. Today let’s look at some reasons why these stays just make sense.

• The first reason you should book a pre stay is to make sure that you are at your ship when you need to be. There can always be delays whether you are driving or flying. You are responsible to get to the ship if you miss the embarking time, which likely means that you’ll have to get a flight. And I know that some people cruise just so they can avoid flying.
• Doing a pre cruise trip will also help you get better adjusted to the time. I know some people like to go on vacations just to catch up on rest. But you’ll also want to enjoy all the food and fun on a cruise, without walking around in a haze where you can’t really enjoy anything.
• Doing a pre or post trip will give you some more time to enjoy your destination. Some cruises are now allowing you to spend the night in some ports. Other cruiselines will work with you, or rather hopefully us if you’ll use me as your travel agent, to help us figure out pre and post opportunities for you.
• Another reason to do a pre or post trip is simply to enjoy being on vacation a little longer. Why rush back home if you don’t have to? Take your time. Maybe you saw something on you cruise that you’d really like to come back to. You should easily be able to do that with a post trip.

Planning to attend the inaugural?

The holidays definitely feel over for me. The last of our guests left this morning. And so it’s time for me to settle into some serious work.. I have mixed feelings about this for sure.. I love being with family and friends. But I guess not life can be a party. And I do thoroughly enjoy my work.. I just have to keep reminding myself of that.

But there is a big party coming up later this month.. Love him or hate him, Trump is about to take office. And there will be a big celebration in Washington D.C. There is some very expensive inauguration packages you can.. But the inauguration is going to be free to the general public… But a lot of people are wanting to take part in this historic event, so the hotels are filling up. Today let’s take a look at some packages the hotels of D.C. are offering. Looking at these descriptions, these are not your average family packages, but sometimes it’s fun to dream.

• Have you and your family and friends ever dreamed of taking over a hotel? You can do just that at the JW Marriott, which is on Pennsylvania Avenue. You will have access to three hundred rooms. You and your guests will be able to watch the parade from your hotel. The staff will help you plan your menus.. This will only cost you two and a half million dollars. What are you waiting for? ;]
• Okay, so maybe that’s a little over the top, but what about a suite for $150,000? This package is at the Ritz-Carlton. They are going to have your air covered. You will be spending four nights in a luxury suite. You and your spouse will be fitted in your gown and tux. You will also have your hair and makeup done by a professional. You will get two vip tickets to the Inauguration Day event. They are even going to give you some jewelry to remember this special occasion by. You will be enjoying a private tour of the city among other things.
• Or do you want to stay where the Inauguration Ball actually takes place? This is called the Mayflower Hotel. And since Trump is going to be the forty fifth President, they are going to charge you just $45,000. For this, you will be saying in the presidential suite, and will be going to the Inaugural Ball. The hotel is going to donate all of this money to the Children’s National Health System.

Some fine hotels

Today we are going to look at some of the nicer hotels, maybe you can get some ideas for trips you might want to take in the new year.

• The first hotel we are going to look at is The Palace Hotel in San Francisco, which is a luxury hotel. One of their claims to fame is that they are the creators of the Green Goddess dressing. The rooms are designed with modern comfort in mind.
• The St. Anthony is a luxury hotel in San Antonio. This is a great place to have weddings an other events like that. One of this hotel’s specialties are their cocktails.
• The Kimpton Van Zandt is a place you might want to go if you want to get recognized for a specific talent. This is an especially great place place to go if you want to write music. People gather here to write music together.
• The Pan Pacific Seattle is an absolutely gorgeous hotel. One of the things that stands out about that place is that they put coolers with ice in your rooms. You don’t go get your own ice, or listen to the machines all night.

Hotel amenities you have to try

I feel like we’ve been talking a lot about cruises a lot lately. So today let’s talk about hotels and some special amenities certain hotels provide.

The first one we are going to look at is Cliff House Maine. This is a great place to stay if you are wanting to spend your days taking adventures. But you are going to be pampered when you do return to the hotel. This is a four star property. But you have to go rock climbing in order to get to this property.

Pacific Reef Hotel, which is in Oregon, has just put in a twelve foot screen so that guest can watch movies by the ocean. You will not have to worry about the screen during the day because it is totally clear. And if you want to watch the movie from the comfort of your room, you can do that too. You will have speakers in your room which will allow you to hear the movies as well.

Sure, you’ve heard of breakfast in bed, but have you heard of breakfast in your own plunge pool? You are going to have to go to Bali to enjoy this treat. This is at the Ayana Resort and Spa Bali, which is a five star property. You are going to be served a three course breakfast in your own plunge pool. There are all kinds of other amenities at this resort, but this is by far the most unusual.

Hotels that allow you to get away from everything

It’s Monday morning, and I have some different projects I want to look into and start. I’d really like to get some bookings in by the end of the year. And my mind is going a lot of different ways, trying to figure of ways to do that. If anyone here is interested in taking a trip, trip, please let me know. But before I start working on other things, I want to make sure that this does get done.

Summers can be busy for parents, whether their children are toddlers or teens. Summer tends to be a time when there is a lot of activities. And Fall seems to be a time where a lot of people are getting back into the normal routines of life. Fall may be a great time for a romantic getaway with your sweetie. Today let’s look at a couple of hotels where you can get away from everything.

The first one we are going to look at is Secret Bay, which is in the Caribbean. The place sounds like it is pretty remote. You will not have access to twenty-four hour a day news. And they have a deal going on which will you and your spouse a perfect romantic getaway. This package will include an in-room couples’ massage, as well as an yoga session. You will be in a private villa instead of in a hotel. You will be enjoying a welcoming dinner.

If you have always dreamed of going and staying somewhere where stars have stayed, you might want to go to the Casa Kimberly. This is a place where Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton used to spend time together. This place is in Mexico. You will be getting a nice suite. You will also get a massage with aroma therapy. And again, this is in a very remote place which will ensure a good bit of privacy.

The best boutiques in Maryland

Once again, there is a lot I want to do today. But of course, I do want to make sure that this gets written before I dive into my other projects.

Growing up, Dad’s job kind of moved us around. In some ways Virginia, where my grandparents lived felt like home to me growing up because we’d always go back there.. But anyway, we also went to Baltimore a couple of times because of Dad’s work.. Anyway, Maryland has a little something for everyone, whether you like cities, or beaches. You might enjoy Maryland if you’re a history buff. Or maybe you’re a sports fan who loves the Ravens. Whatever your interest, you might want to consider these hotels if you are planning a visit.

The first place we are going to look at is the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. There are just fifty four room, which are split up into six different categories of suites. You will have your choice of several different restaurants. You will also have access to a nice spa.

There is also the Inn at Henderson’s Wharf, which is in Baltimore. Baltimore itself is a fascinating city, and the wharf area has a lot of nice restaurant and nice shopping as well. They will have all kinds of luxurious accommodations. This would make a great place for a business conference, especially if your company does a mixture of business and pleasure.

Annapolis has some great historic inns. These inns date back to the 1700 ‘s. And they keep their historic charm while still providing modern luxuries like nicer televisions and wifi.

Getting the best hotel rooms

I hope that everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was quiet, but nice.. I wasn’t able to do anything with friends really, but took some time to do some fun reading. I’m taking less and less time to do that during the week, trying to keep my nose to the grindstone. There is always something that can be done. But anyway..

This is a travel blog where we cover a lot of different aspects of travel. Today we are going to discuss how to get the best hotel room.

• The first thing you are going to want to look at is to see if there are any new properties in the area where you want to stay. New properties are always looking for reviews, and are, more than likely, going to be willing to give you good rates or extra amenities.
• Another thing is, hire a travel agent. Travel agents are well connected and will be able to help you to find exactly what you are looking for. Tell me exactly what you are looking for and I can help you find it.. Best of all, the hotel pays me, but you do not.
• If you can, try to plan your trip during the off season. And the off season is pretty much January through May, and then September and October. Hotels love guests when things are slow. You might be able to swing a discount and will also likely have a higher quality of service as well.
